Things I Cherish at St. Johns
Can I tell you how much I already LOVE it here? You have been so hospitable and welcoming, and I already feel at home. Bob has finally gotten to join me in Kingman. Let me tell you the things I have already learned to cherish:
- Worship! The Heart of Worship praise team is phenomenal and so is the choir. I LOVE having real organ music. The energy is both services is truly inspirational.
- Children! Having all those kids next door during the week (at the Grace Neal Preschool) is energizing. Even better, is seeing those smiling, little faces in worship. Parents, I LOVE having kids in church- Jesus called the little children unto him, and they belong with the worshiping community. Thank you for sharing them with us. You are raising up the next generation of believers.
- Volunteers! From the happy faces who help out in the office, to those who lead worship and prayers, to teachers, to committee members and chairs, to those unseen multitudes who quietly work behind the scenes, it is clear there are many who take seriously the call to serve God. I LOVE people who volunteer.
- Sunday School! Of course, the children need to learn about God in age-appropriate settings, BUT, so do we adults. I LOVE the adult Sunday school group and my dream is that we will have so many attending that we will have to offer more than one.
- Professional/office staff! Dave and Curt and Lana and Theresa and Robert and Trudy, anyone else I might be missing ... I thoroughly LOVE working with these people.
- The sanctuary! It is absolutely beautiful.
- The congregation! I already LOVE this congregation and can't wait to see more, and more of you become involved in the work of the church.
May the LOVE of our Lord and Savior envelope us as we work together to bring the Good News into Kingman and beyond!
Love,
Pastor Pam
