Christian Education (Sunday School) Mrs. Kopecky starts at 9:15 a.m. with *Chapel Time* - we're singing, sharing & praying together. The Children's Christian Education classes start at 9:30 a.m. The children then go to their multi-age groups, where they explore the bible and learn together.
Nursery/Child Care Infants – 5 year olds Our caring and trained adults provide a safe and nurturing environment for our youngest children. Parents are invited to bring their infants through 5 years to the nursery, Sunday mornings, anytime from 8:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon). Special Events: Nursery is provided for most major events. Scouting Programs for Boys & Girls St. Johns United Methodist is proud to be the sponsor and home of the Cub Scout Pack 66 and Boy Scout Troop 66. Registration is always open and we continue to fill add new boys to our dens/troop.
Scouting offers a place when children can learn sportsmanship, good citizenship and loyalty. They learn how to be the best for themselves and their den. Along with weekly meetings, we have monthly Pack meetings where boys receive awards and recognition.
Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts meet weekly; please call office for schedule of day and times, or pick up a monthly calendar at the Welcome Center located in the lobby of the church sanctuary.
Girl Scouts are also a regular part of our scouting program.
We are always looking for adult leaders and committee members. A background security check is required for every person. For more information, contact Curt Arrants at the church office at 692-8828.
K.H.O.P. (Kids Having Outrageous Praise) 4 Year Old's through 6th Grade meet every Wednesday night from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. from August to May. This is a time of study, arts, games & fun - we really do, have some outrageous fun. Come join us!!
Heartsong Choir: Wednesday, 6:00 p.m. - A choir for Kindergarten through 12th Grade from August to May. These times coincide with our Wednesday Night Fellowship Dinner (at 5:30 p.m.) and Adult Studies at 6:30 p.m. The children are welcome to come and join K.H.O.P. after choir practice, until their parents are finished with their studies, or Wednesday Open Worship at 8:00 p.m. It all ends with dessert in the Fellowship Hall.
Children’s Chime Choir: Chimes choir is an instrumental program designed to train children and youth (3rd – 8th grade) in music literacy through the use of body movement, chime bars and a social Christian atmosphere. Rehearsal is every Thursday at 6:00 p.m. from August to May, under the direction of Mrs. Kopecky.
