Do you need a spiritual jump start??? Check out Wednesday Open Worship, or WOW ... it's designed & led by young adults, ages 18-30, who are passionate about sharing their faith, and to any youth or adults of all ages.
Every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. (August-May)... we sing many of the cutting edge, contemporary songs that are heard on the radio, "snapshot" prayers – those prayers that you just can’t keep to yourself - everyone is invited to add their joys or sorrows to the prayer.
REAL- In a day when superficiality is the norm, are you looking for something that’s authentic and genuine?
RELEVANT- Are you looking for something that will contribute to your personal and spiritual growth in everyday life?
You’ve heard of a “midweek crisis” but what about a “quarter-life”? Balancing family, friends, faith, and the future -- being a young adult means exciting years full of new opportunities and experiences, along with challenges and confusion.
It's not about what you are going to be when you grow up but it's about who God created you to be!
St. Johns United Methodist Church offers a way to stay connected to what really matters!
Each week a guest speaker, who is a regular person (not a Pastor) shares their thoughts during the devotional time of worship. The speaker selects scripture from the Bible and explains how those scriptures still apply today.
After worship we have a time of fellowship together along with a delicious dessert.
There are 48 million people between the ages of 18 - late 30’s in the U.S. with energy, ideas, creativity, and passion. It must be the priority of the Church to empower this generation to use their gifts for the benefit of people and the purposes of God. At St. Johns, we believe that Wednesday Open Worship is a dynamic opportunity for young adults to do just that.
Wednesday Open Worship is a place where all young adults can find meaning and relevance for life.
Come and join us!
Together we can make a difference!
