Ms. Laurie
Lead Teacher
Ms. Laurie has served an impressive forty-seven years in childcare, twenty of which has been at Grace Neal Preschool. While she has held different roles on our team, being in the classroom and helping students in their development is her favorite. Ms. Laurie has her CDA.
What you can expect
Our Three Year Old classrooms primarily focus on transitioning our toddlers to preschoolers. With added structure, your child will enjoy:
1
Circle Time
to help further their social/emotional and language/literacy development.
2
Arts & Crafts
allows them to further their fine motor skills and creative expression.
3
Math & Science
to develop cognitive thinking and prepare them for Pre-K.
4
Play Time
playing games and spending time on the playground continues their physical and cognitive development.
5
Bible Activities
allows our children to learn about and experience God's unending love.
Ms. Laurie loves to keep her Big Threes active! They spend the day doing activities that will prepare them for entering Pre-K. Things like tracing letters, practicing letter sounds, and letter recognition. Ms. Laurie also loves arts & craft time! Following the week's theme, kids get to have fun creating things and letting their imagination loose during projects. The Big Threes also get to explore and experiment with fun and engaging science activities. Play time and movement games are also a favorite in Ms. Laurie's classroom! Kids get to have fun dancing to Rockin' Aerobics, going on magic carpet rides to places around the world, and playing games like freeze tag! They also spend time running around the playground to get those extra wiggles out and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Every Wednesday, we have Chapel time where kids get to spend time learning about the Bible and its many wonderful stories.
